Le Journal Des Brodeuses was a monthly magazine that catered specifically for professional embroiderers. These professionals were much more prevalent than we find today. They even had their own publication which as you can imagine was a rare thing over 100 years ago.
The more magazines one collected the more choice one could offer a potential client thus increasing business. For purchase are magazines from the 1950's. I will send you a random magazine as unfortunately I cannot take pictures of each one. Inside you will find designs long forgotten about including letters and combinations of letters in differing styles, floral patterns and general shapes and bows.
They are very interesting and were designed to embellish the mind and they certainly will give you new ideas and take your embroidery to new heights.
The condition of the papers can be described as good, but some do have little weaknesses forming around the folds and edges and some are partially ripped but remember we are dealing with antique paper.
These are real collectors pieces.
